Leak prevention
LEAKSHIELD generates a negative pressure in the whole coolant loop, therefore in case of a leak, coolant cannot exit the system, but ambient air is sucked into the system. In order to ensure that there is a negative pressure everywhere in the system, the amount of negative pressure can be adjusted depending on the installed coolant pump.
If air does indeed enter the system, an integrated vacuum pump of LEAKSHIELD removes it from the system to maintain the negative pressure. Only in case of massive leaks, for example a completely separated tube, may coolant exit the cooling system.
Fill level measurement
By monitoring changes in pressure and the volume of pumped air, LEAKSHIELD can precisely calculate the current fill level of the reservoir.
Leak tester
Even before the cooling system is started up for the first time, LEAKSHIELD can be used to check the system for leaks. In leak tester mode, a negative pressure is generated in the system and then monitored for changes in pressure. An integrated, highly accurate pressure sensor in LEAKSHIELD continuously monitors changes in pressure, the leak rate also can be displayed in ml/h. Even minuscule pressure changes are detected, enabling detection of very small leaks.
Filling and topping up of coolant
Instead of pouring coolant into the reservoir, negative pressure generated by LEAKSHIELD can be used to suck coolant directly from a coolant container using an optional suction line. Splashing and spills while filling are effectively prevented.
OLED display, RGB illumination, USB interface, alarm buzzer and alarm output
Current status and sensor data can be checked on the OLED display of LEAKSHIELD. The display can be freely rotated by 360 degrees. Integrated, digital RGB LEDs can visualize current status or be freely configured to match your personal preferences.
Using the USB interface of LEAKSHIELD and the aquasuite Software, all data can be checked on the computer, additionally hardware data available in the aquasuite can be transmitted to the device and displayed on the OLED display.
In case configurable alarm thresholds are exceeded, an integrated alarm buzzer is activated. Alarm messages will also be shown on the OLED display, the integrated RGB LEDs provide another visual indication. For emergency shutdown of the PC, LEAKSHIELD can send USB keyboard commands. Furthermore, an alarm signal header can be connected to the motherboard's power switch header using optional accessories not included in delivery.

Prerequisites for usage
All components in the cooling system must be qualified for the configured negative pressure. Especially soft, thin walled tubes are not suitable.
LEAKSHIELD must be installed above the reservoir and be connected to the top of the reservoir. This requires a vacant port in the top of the reservoir. The tube connecting reservoir and LEAKSHIELD should be installed in a straight line, inner tube diameter should be at least 8 mm - liquid in this tube must flow back into the reservoir automatically by force of gravity.
